This project is the first in an ongoing series of roadkill portraits, meant to transform a grotesque scene into something that could be remembered as important and even romantic. We see roadkill every day -- nameless creatures that make us feel sick -- that move us in a gross way. Why not have a depiction of something moving that remembers the beauty and regeneration of life?
